PRIVATE RESIDENCE
LAKE FOREST, ILLINOIS 1995

A new 12,000sf house was designed with two distinct masses - a "main"house that accommodated traditional formal rooms and a "wing" that contained the kitchen, family room, garages and bedrooms above. The exterior of the house is constructed with a hand molded brick manufactured in a traditional beehive kiln.

The house features an extensive exercise area, including an indoor driving range, on the lower level. The mass of a precast concrete plank floor above the lower level, provides acoustic privacy.
