PRIVATE RESIDENCE
WINNETKA, ILLINOIS 1990

A sizeable addition was added to a traditional frame farmhouse. The massing of the addition recedes from the original facade to maintain the legibility of the entry and respect the original composition of the house. The spirit and scale of the detailing of the original house was maintained throughout.

The addition appears from behind of the existing wing to the left.

Family Room

The original fireplace was rehabilitated and reused.

Master Bedroom

The master suite, with an uplit vaulted ceiling, comprised the majority of the second floor of the addition.
