1994-1997
The following sketches illustrated how we communicated with our client and the community to develop the finished project. Some sketches accurately reflect what actually was built, others reflect roads not taken.

Cafe
A 1994 sketch showing possibilities for a cafe on the main floor along Lincoln Avenue. This space was never realized.
Entry
A 1994 sketch of the entry illustrating the entry foyer. Portions of this sketch were executed, some were not.
Section
A 1994 sketch showing the inclusion of the double height hall in the library stacks, precisely how the final project was built.
Hall
A 1994 sketch illustrating the performance hall. Basic ideas were followed through on, including the mounting of one of the murals above the stage.
Cafe
A 1996 sketch illustrating possibilities for the cafe. This was never executed.
Administration
A 1996 sketch illustrating the administration area. This sketch is fairly representative of what was actually built.
Dance Room
The dance room was eventually relocated upstairs to avoid the columns shown in this 1996 sketch.
Greeter
This 1996 sketch shows the intent to install one of the murals in the entry foyer. The mural was installed in the second floor hall instead.
Proscenium
This 1996 sketch accurately reflects the intent of the final design of the proscenium and stage.
Different Strummer
This 1996 sketch is a very accurate depiction of the finished store.
Hall, Balcony
This 1996 sketch reflects precisely the actual view from the balcony as constructed.
